Oral Corrective Feedback: What do Students Prefer and Why?

Corrective feedback is crucial for students to improve their speaking skill. The as important the way of delivering it students. Lecturers need acknowledge students’ preferences on corrective feedback, so will be useful improvement. This study aims at investigating (1) amount that think most and its reason, (2) types reason. utilizes mixed method. Both close-ended open-ended questionnaire are used gain data. result shows lecturer mark all errors during speaking. When marks error, they remember correction never repeat same mistake in future. Furthermore, also mistakes every time make avoid them making other occasion. In this study, prefer explicit can done by deliver feedback. Students do give term grammar, pronunciation vocabulary or word choice. Explicit saving since does not further explanation why a certain word’s choice, grammar incorrect. It efficient because wait about guess right form grammar.Keywords: Oral Corrective, Feedback, Students’ Preference, Speaking Skill
